    the pensioners can speak Irish and English. They can tell stories in Irish and English too. Three boys went to England last year. Also three girls went to England last year. There is not anyone in Carracastle getting the widow's pension. There is a widow or two in it but they are not getting the widow's pension. There are not any ruins of old houses in Carracastle.
    In Carracastle there are no dugouts. In the time of the war some people used to sleep out where these dugouts were. Carracastle is not noted for any history. There is only one fort in Carracastle.
