Cave in Brackloon Wood (about centre, or rising ground) two rooms; fireplace in one: some say Danes built it others in Penal Times, hiding place for priests and others.
Finn McCool's grave? in Prospect: head & foot stone 25' apart.
Giants' graves at Brackloon - three large stones parallel to one another & at rt. angles to bank of river - strokes on them like Ógham Craob: In my opinion & of others I've concluded they are not Ogham marks.
Cillín:- a graveyard in Boher, 1/2 mile south-east of Brackloon school and 4 miles south of Westport on road to Lunane unbaptized chn. buried there: St. Patk. rested there.
Print of his knees on rock near by. also mass rock.
Dúns:- (forts) one on Toll hill w. of school about 1 1/2 mls.
two " Glynsk S.E. of school. about 1 1/2 mls
one " Deerpark (Murrisk). W. of school about 1 ml.
" " Carnalurgan 1 ml from Westport. Denis Browne buried there. (on West Road)
" Pat Rooney's brae smaller than Carnalurgan 2 mls from W. Port West Road.

at 2/ Prospect near little graveyard; Colonel Buchanan buried there.
