- About sixty years ago three men went out in a small boat fishing. The day was very calm and the sun was shining beautifully in the sky. When the wore about an hour on sea they noticed the sky getting very dark. The three men began to row as fast as the could. The storm was now tossing the small boat out in the water darkness was approaching. The people of the village had lamps lighted along the sea shore. The small boat could not come to land. One of the men was thrown in on the rocks but was unconscious. The next day the people of the village got the man among the rocks but he was dead.
- Within 20 perches of where I live in Ballyglass is a Druidical circle formed of a big pile of stones each about 10 cwt. To the North of this circle is something like a rude altar composed of stones and also to the South end of the altar is another one.
Antiquarians who visit this place describe it as where the Druids offered up their sacrifice to their Gods in pre Christian times. Outside the Northern end of the circle are huge stones(continues on next page)- Collector
