    In the village of Ballymachola there lived a fairly young man named Jack Kearney.

    In the village of Ballmachola there lived a fairly young man named Jack Kearney.
    He had to walk up to Castlebar on certain business. He set off early in the morning and landed in Castlebar. His business done, he hurried for home. He landed home at three o' clock. When he came home he heard that he was invited down to Kilcummin to stand sponsor for a young child. He set off and arrived in Kilcumin before night. In all, he travelled about ninety
