- There are a lot of old roads in the parish. There is an old road going from Rappa and up by Mr. Anthony Flyns house and going on to the Crossmolina road. This road is situated in the townland of Ballymanagh in the parish of Ardagh in the Barony of Tyrawley and in the county of Mayo. This is the road the French came on when they were coming through Rappa and going to Castlebar. This road is made about one hundred and eight four years. There were four living houses where Flynn's is now about one hundred years ago. Three of the houses were where Flynn's barns are now, and one of them where Flynn's house is situated. I could find out any more information about this road.(continues on next page)
