“There was a tailor living in Currabaggan long ago.”
There was a tailor living in Currabaggan long ago. A mehal would come to him every year cutting turf. When the men would come home every evening the tailor would have a cast of potatoes and butter for them. One evening he had not much butter; so he thought of a plan.
When himself and the men went eating what did he do but spit on his finger and rub it round the butter. When the men saw that, they would not eat the butter and the tailor had it all to himself.- Collector
