The Catholic Churches are, the Assumption in Bride Street, Immaculate Conception in Rowe Street. The Franciscan church, and Convent Church are near Rowe Street. St Peter's College, Summerhill and the Convent of the Sisters of Mercy, and the Sisters of St John, the Presentation Convent, and Loreto Convent are other buildings of interest.
There ar a lot of factories in Wexford, such as Messers Pierce & Co, manufactures Bicycles, Metal Bedsteads and all Agricultural Machinery. The "Star" Iron Works, Menapia Mills, manufactures Woollen Goods. Messers Cousins & Co have a Mineral Water Factory and there are large printing works, and a Bacon Factory.
Johnstown Castle is three miles from Wexford, has a large lake and an ivy-covered ruined tower. Ferrycarrig and Eden Vale are popular picnic places.
Rosslare is a lovely seaside place, it is a port of landing for the daily services between England and the South of Ireland.(continues on next page)- Collector
