erally slept in the corner of the kitchen of a country
    The welcome they got-:
They used to sing and dance for food this included potatoes tea, meal, flour and at Easter they got eggs. They brought the news of the district and the neighbours flocked into the house in which they stayed to hear the latest news. A farmer used to say that there was no need for a newspaper when Annie the Blazer, Hughie Tea Leaves or Nelly Quigley were going their rounds. Miceal Dúbh when entering a house used to say God save all here but the cat.
