  1. There used to be three shoemakers here long ago. One was in the Bosom, one in Castlequarter, and one on the Old Road. The man in the Bosom was called Fleming. The one on the Old Road is still there. The one in Castlequarter is not there now.
    William Hegarty of Letter made clogs for himself about ten years ago. About seventy years ago, the people began to wear boots. Until that time they went on the bare feet.
    Young people did not get any boots until they were able to earn money for themselves. The people had to buy
