  1. Long ago they used different kinds of carts from what they have now. The carts that had were slipe-carts made with two long shafts and a frame like a box. They would yoke the horse in it.
    This is the kind of carts they used.
    Plough;- Long ago they used wooden ploughs instead of iron ploughs. They used to construct these ploughs themselves and there are some of them still to be seen.
    Light Long ago;- Long ago they did not use lamps they utilised big long bits of fir which they found in the bog. The little children would hold these firs for the women when they would be sewing shirts.
