- Once upon a time there was a man living in this parish. This man had of which he thought a great deal.
This hound could out run any hare it ever chased.
After some time this hound died. The man thought so much of it that he skined it and put a piece of it on his trousers as a patch.
One day after this the man was out cutting bushes. A hare rose out of a bush and ran off.
There was so much "game" in the hare that the patch began to jump on his trousers.- Collector
