3rd MarchIn olden times it was customary to leave a Christmas candle lighting in the window on Xmas Eve from Midnight in honor of the Christ Child. It was never known for people to leave their homes on Christmas Day.
On Hollow Eve the old people were very particular about sweeping up the hearth and leaving a plate of food for the holy Souls.
