One boy shakes the potatoes from the stalks then two boys follow after picking the big potatoes which are known as "table" or "market" potatoes. Then two other boys follow picking the second sized ones which are called "hazards" which are kept for seed for next year's planting.
Then one boy picks the remainder of the potatoes which are called "sniggers".
They are used for feeding pigs and turkeys.
