    Long ago a man lived in a big house in Ballacurra . . .

    he heard Murtach saying these words he went and asked him if he had killed his brother and he said he did.
    Just at that moment the ghost appeared to Murtach's cousin and pointed out a flag to him. He went to the flag and lifted it up and there he found a purse of golden guineas as new as the day they were put there. He took the bones of the murdered man and buried them in sacred ground, and the ghost never appeared again.
