    fifty men from the villages of Killalane and Clounmore turned out with there cart and drew sufficient stones and other materials for the completion of the work. The lane in which it was built is still known as "Chaple Lane" opposite the old meat shambles. But of the building itself, only part of the north wall and the holy water stoup now remain.
