    16. When getting married, people try to get "something new, something old, something borrowed". This is commonly believed to bring luck.
    17. If horses are unlucky with people they should sell a black hen and put the money got for the hen as part payment for the next horse. This will bring them luck.
    18. Green is supposed to be a very unlucky colour especially for brides. There is an old rhyme about it:-
    "married in green, ashamed to be seen".
