There used to be half-doors in the houses also. The floors of the houses were not made with cement or boards but with dóib buidhe or mortar. The mortar floors used to be very rough and course.
They used not have any lamps in their houses long ago. They used to have bog-deal and candles. - The kind of a churn that the people had long was a tall churn about three or four feet high. There is not many of them out now. They have churns now on stands and(continues on next page)
