Down in Carrueragh in the middle of a wild mountain called Moanveinleac there is a big hole known as 'poll a' phiobaire'. It is believed that there was a piper drowned there long ago, and the noise of the waters beside the hole ever since resembles the music of the pipers band.
The place beside the hole is a desolate spot in the mountain.(continues on next page)
