    the man that holds the "twister" begins twisting the hay. The "letter" keeps putting the hay in until the "Súgán" is long enough. Then he gets a cord and ties it around the ends of the "Súgán" so that it would not [?]. They were used for tying winds of hay. Men used also use them as belts to keep up their trousers and when a man would be going to the fair he would tie one around his waist to keep his coat closed. They were also twisted around the knees when a man would be going weeding.
