- In the year 1933 Daddy had a field of potatoes convenient to a fort in our land at Carbally Jamestown. In one of the furrows he noticed a large flag - the full width of the furrows. He did not stir it, but the next year he ploughed the field for oats and he got the stone lifted and carted away to put in a gap.
When he had it carted to the gap he saw one piece of the stone had a cross cut on it. So he put it up on the cart and brought it back and left it where he got it.
That evening he brought home the cart, and left the hammer he was using on it.
