- Lime BurningThere is a lime kiln in Tullyoran Mohill owned by Fred Tuthill and another in Corrick owned by John Reynolds.
Those men sell lime to the people of the district round the school.
First these men quarry the stones and they break them small. The Kiln is half filled with turf and Coal and after that every second lair of Turf and stones are put in until the kiln is full. The Turf at the bottom of the Kiln are then lighted. There is a gate at the bottom of the kiln and when the stones are all burned the gate is taken out and then the lime falls down.
A Man shovels it away from the hole when it falls down.- Collector
