Then the stones are thrown in and burned until they come out in lime. This lime is used for building, whitewashing, spraying the potatoes, and for the grass.

Long ago there lived on my district beside one of the forts an old man and his wife. One Winter they were scarce in firing. Every night the man got a block of wood to burn at night.
