1. When the cat turns his back to the fire it is a sign of rain. If the cat scrapes timber it is a sign of rain.
2. The dog always barks at the new moon.
3. A horse is nervous of thunder. - 1. If the sky is dark it is a sign of rain, and if it is clear and blue it is a sign of fine weather. If the sky is red in the morning it is a sign of rain. If there are white clouds on the sky it is a sign of rain.
