    name "Cnocán Dub" was got from the sand hill. It is called "Daile na h-aibhne" because of the two rivers which border it.
    There are very few old people in Corrimbla. They are; Michael O'Hara, Thomas Rowan, Mrs. Judge, Tom Ruane, and Mrs. Ruane. Thomas Rowan is about eighty years old and Mrs. Judge is eight years his senior, while Mrs. Ruane is eighty two. Tom Ruane is seventy or over while Michael O'Hara is about sixty-five, being the youngest of them all. Michael O'Hara and Mrs. Judge are fluent Irish speakers while Tom Rowan speaks it moderately. The others cannot speak it. Michael O'Hara has some good stories in English and Irish but I do not think the others have any in Irish. All these people's addresses, except that of Tom Rowan, are the same, being Corrimbla, Ballina, Co. Mayo, Thomas Rowan lives lives with John Clarke. John Clarke's address
