- This fort is about three hundred yards from the public road. There is a fence of earth all around it and sloe bushes growing inside the fence of earth. There is a small well in the middle of it. When the water was scarce the owner of the fort went to the well for water with a can. On his return the handle of the can broke. Then he got a bucket and this time he landed the water to a tub. When he was bringing the cattle to the tub in the evening it was gone.
