On the following night both men as arranged came to the house .Morrison at once entered with a nail and hammer and climbed up the stairs to the top , but apparently his courage wasn't very deep rooted .In his great hurry to drive the nail he drove it through a part of his coat into the hard timber of the stairs , he was unable to get get away because he was held tightly to the bannister .
