    Up behind the house stands an ancient plantation of white-thorn trees, this, during the Month of May diffuses its fragrance, its beauty and the Melody of the birds over our whole farm.

  2. Ireland from times immemorial has been celebrated for its Holy Wells and Healing fountains. There are not many holy wells in my parish. Saint James's well is below near Geevagh. The people go to this well on Saint James's day which is on the 15th July.
    The people make the stations of the cross and say prayers for the sick people. The sick people bathe their sore feet and ears and eyes in the stream that flows from well.
