    Scene V.
    Enter the Stirring Rock
    Enter Bernard and Francis.
Bernard It is a bitter and a chilly night
Francis Yes, a nipping frost to-night.
Bernard What hour of the night can it be now?
Francis It is, I think past one o'clock. The moon is bright over Limnagh hill.
Bernard Then the Saggarth must have left his place in Threen, and be coming hither now. Did he not say that he would be at the Stirring Rock 'ere break of day?
    Francis Yes he did.
Bernard What way do you think he'll come.
Francis He was to come direct to Poll-na-gorm. By Loc-a teil Stroic and Arnac Bán, on his arrival here where there is provision made. That he's to stay within the cave at Corrigeen-a-geera till break fo day. Then he's to offer Masses at Fear-leac beneath the cliff beyond the Stirring Rock.
Bernard Are there men sufficient placed to give timely warning should the yeomen come?
