    There are fourteen families with a population of forty two who live by mixed farming. A bye-road leading from the Coach road satisfies their needs The Red Earl's Road passes through this townland The people in this townland are not so civilized as they are in the adjoining ones. They still boast of their brave feats at the faction fights when the fairs used to be held in Castlebaldwin. There are 13 Cairns in this townland. We will deal with them later on in this book.
