  1. Herbs, which were used as medicine by the old people are not used on a very large scale now. The best known curing herbs are the dandelion, garlic and ferns and other herbs which are even still used for feeding animals include dockin leaves of fórain and nettles.
People who suffer from indigestion or bad stomachs usually find in the dandelion a remedy which is even better than their medical adviser can prescribe. If the roots are cleaned and boiled in water and the juice, then extracted, drank the sufferer is eased and after a few doses is completely cured.
Garlic is an all-round remedy and is used for curing rheumatism and sore throats and other various ailments. Ferns also contain medicinal qualities and if the roots are cleaned and boiled they are of great good to people suffering from diseases.
Dockins are given to pigs and if a person gets a nettle sting a dockin eases the pain if applied to the affected place.
