The smith if angered or annoyed by anyone is supposed to have power of bringing luck on the offender by what is termed "turning the anvil."
The forge is a great place for men young and old meeting where there is storytelling, gossiping and the news of the village.
There was a house for the smiths and they used to work in it some time ago it is now used as a pig-sty. - There is nothing to me known with regards to forge water as I think any water would do well, stream or river. The smiths(continues on next page)
