Potatoes or generally called "praties" in olden times, it was taken from the Irish of potatoes "Prarsi" were eaten for dinner. Potatoes and salt were eaten for dinner and sometimes called "colcannon" or generally called "cally."
A little boy was asked what his meals for each day He said, "praties again" "praties again" and praties again.
Jimmy McHugh of Carrigans was asked in school what had he for his supper, he said
