  1. The name of my district is Kilfree and it is in the parish of Kilfree also. There are about twenty seven families in it and about one hundred and eight people. The name most popular is Murphy.
    Some of the houses are thatched and others are slated. It got its name from the fact that a church was built in the heather long ago. There are about ten old age pensioners in my district. There are only two Irish speakers out of these. There are about the same number of houses in it yet.
    There are about four of them in ruins now.
