  1. About forty years ago excavations were being made in Saint Finbar's Protestant Cathedral. Cork, for the purpose of putting in hydraulic machinery in connection with a new organ that was being installed. At a depth of about ten feet a workman drove his pickaxe through the lid of a leaden casket. The Protestant Dean of this Church was called on the scene, and gave instructions to have the earth cleared away from around the casket. Before he decided on opening the casket he took notes of an inscription which was cut on the lid in some strange
