  1. The Leipreachán is locally known as a fairy. He is dressed in green and wears a red cap. He is supposed to live in forts. His usual occupation is shoe-making. We never heard of his being caught by anyone but it is supposed that if he were caught, that every time a person put his hand in his purse he would get a shilling.
Leipreacháns are looked upon as being very friendly beings.
