    Oh! be my stay. Help me to beat misfortunes' stings,
    The agony of little things,
    The thorns in duty's pathway spread,
    That wears the heart like tears unshed.

    Prayer to say to the Blessed Virgin
    Oh! Glorious virgin Mary, have pity on the holy souls detained for atone from God and from Thee, their most merciful mother in the purifying flames of Purgatory, break their bonds, and deliver them from the abyss from whence they sigh, longing for their heavenly country and for the moment to ardently desired by their heart. When they shall be forever united with God. Have compassion on the poor, it is chiefly for them we offer our prayers to Thee, the adorable son haveth and reigneth with the father and the holy Ghost for ever and ever- Amen.
