  1. There is a graveyard in the town of Castleisland, and a mile outside the town is new Kelbannivane and half a mile away old Kelbannivane lies. The three of them are still in use. The one in Castleisland was opened in the year seventeen hundred and three, a protestant church is bult in it. It once was a catholic church but during the religious prosecutions when the catholics were being crushed down the church was taken from them, but they were able to keep half the ground. It was in this place that the graves were made for the dead. It must be about the only graveyard in Ireland to hold a protestant church. There are a few old trees growing in it. There are lots of old tombs in it but the names are blotted out. There are dates there however as far back as seventeen hundred and three. There are no big monuments or big crosses in it, but there are lots of small crosses made of wood and stone. The place is in a bad way at present as there is no care taken of it and itis nearly full
    The graveyard of Old Kelbannivane is called after a saint that lived there long ago. There is one date there dated seventeen ninety nine. The name on the tomb is Connor,
