    bridegroom.The bride and groom then go on a honeymoon for as long as they can afford.There is usually a "spree" given by the bride's people on the wedding night at which all the guests attend.
    In country places match making is quite common.On a certain night the bridegroom to be comes to the girl's house and claims his bride and if he is any way well off no matter how bad looking he may be the parents usually consent to the marriage.
