    the kitchen.
She at once lifted the water and ran and in her hurry she forgot to close the door of the well; she ran on and the water of the well flowed out and flowed after her. The more she ran the more the water spread out.
As she ran she roared and screamed for help. There was a man cutting hay and when he saw her coming and the water flowing after her, he ran over to her and cut the legs off her with the scythe. When she was stopped the water stopped too, but it had formed a large Loch at the time. She ran through Shercock and drowned the drowned the town and it is said that on a clear day old Shercock can be seen on the bottom of the Lake.
