    There was a man named Maines fishing at Loch Sillan once and his hook got caught.

    lake he stepped in. "Come along." he said to Mr Maines who stood and didn't want to go any further.
    "You must follow me," said the little man. They then sank down until they reached the bottom of the lake. They were then in old Shercock. Mr Maines was surprised to see many people threre that he knew years and years before that: He also saw a neighbour girl there that was drowned a month previously.
    "Come along," the little man said once more and he brought him into a house where he saw a girl in bed with the hook he lost stuck in her back.
    "See what you've done," said she, "so now you've got to marry me"
    Mr Maines said he would not. She said he'd have to, but he said he'd do no such thing. He took the hook out of her back and asked the little man to leave him back where he got him.
    "I will stick to my promise," the little man said, "Come along."
    Next place that Maines found himself was back at his turf again and the little man was gone.
