- There was once a woman and she had but one son and his name was John O'Neill. She sent him one day to the fair to sell three cows. He went on till he met a man on the road and three dogs with him. The man with the dogs said, "Will you give me the three cows in exchange for these three dogs?"
"I don't care," says John O'Neill.
So he exchanged the three cows for the three dogs and went on his journey as before. He was not gone far when the man called hm back and said to him, "you don't know the goodness of your dogs yet. Here is a whistle for you and whenever you are in any danger or difficulty blow it and they will come to your assistance.The first of these dogs is called Strength. He is the strongest dog in the world and can break through anything.
