- Legend.Along the Castleblaney road there is a field in which there are a great number of large stones. In connection with this field we are told a wedding party was coming from Carrickmacross & the whole party were under the influence of drink. The party was travelling in a number of side-cars. When the cars were passing a dangerous bend on the road they were overturned into this field & were immediately turned into stones and will remain so till the last trumpet sounds. These stones are still to be seen to this very day.Told by: - Mrs M. B. Sherry
