    Though neighbours kind, of course you'll find, around where now you dwell
    For friendliness you must confess, that Croghan folk excel;
    Within Tyrone are quite unknown such folk of friendly ways
    As these so true, around where you spent boyhoods happy days.
    The Croghan folk can take a joke, and tell a joke that cheers
    The heart when sad, and thus they add to life few fleeting years
    Mongst neighbours new, dear friend, may you, likewise your wife & boy
    Excellent health, abundant wealth, and lives prolonged enjoy
