  1. One day in Ballybay Fair James Swift had a cow, and it had no tail. He could not sell the cow because of the defect. So he decided to put a tail on it. He sewed a tail on the cow. After a few minutes a man came over to buy the animal and he sold it to the man for sixteen pounds. The man told him to keep the cow until Monday. Mr Swift did not want the man to know that the cow had a false tail. The man came for the cow on Monday night. He got the cow to the end of the town and then she refused to walk any further. He twisted the cow's tail, and it came off. The people laughed that much that he ran away and left the cow standing on the street. The man was never seen in Ballybay again
