    sun-set and bade them leave her home. As they approached her home they saw a pale weak looking child outside. It was the colour of death and so the fairies carried it away.
    When she went in her mother was in bed ill. She had been growing weak since Brigid was stolen. A little weak and crying child was left in her place that is what the fairy meant by waisteral. Brigid's mother became quite well and they lived very happy ever afterwards.
