  1. Marriages take place most often coming up to Advent or Shrove Tuesday. The unlucky month of the year is March, and the unlucky days are Friday and Saturday.
    The customs the people had long ago was killing a chicken or eat eggs on Shrove Tueasday.
    The match-makers are usually at the wedding. The custom was to go after the marriage ceremony to a town and amuse themselves for a while. When they would come home they would have dinner and feasting and would enjoy themselves to morning.
    When they would be coming home from the town some friend of the party would meet them
