  2. Long ago in times of eviction a man named Bell of Stranooden made a song about it. The name of it was "Bell's Eviction" and this was the song:
    One morn of late confusion great,
    Set in about Stranooden O.
    As something quare was in the air
    And mischief seemed a brooding, O
    For boys and men from hill and glen
    Came crowding to the highway O
    And laughing girls with tossing curls
