- In the parish of Tydavnet, Ballinaode, Monaghan, at a cross called Killadonelly, a man broke his neck. Across the road, facing this school, lived a man called Robert Hanna. One day he was coming home from town, and he was in the card and horse. He was sitting too near the edge of the cart, and going round Killadonelly turn he fell out, and broke his neck. He was lying on the road dead, and the horse was grazing alongside of him. It was Tom Hamill who found him. This happened about forty six years ago.
