In Irish Druim-SneachtaIt is said that during the old Irish wars the dead were numerous after a battle. The survivors prayed for a burial place for their dead. When they awoke next day one field was covered with snow, and they thought that field was an answer to their prayer. They made it a graveyard and it is still used as such.
