  2. There was a company of Jews once who wanted to make a laugh of the Christian Faith. They made a prayer called "The Chain Prayer", for they knew this would fool the uneducated Christians. They sent the prayer to a woman named Biddy Byrne, with orders to say it nine times and then give it to someone else. The prayer went around until it came to my great-grandmother Mary Close. She said it a few times but
